No Exit | Taylor Adams | Book Review

Fast paced and entertaining

No Exit starts with Darby Thorne caught in the middle of a blizzard where she takes shelter in a rest stop with four strangers. The thrill begins when she steps outside to get a cell network and peeps in one of the parked vehicles only to find a girl locked inside the van in a cage. So who is this girl? How is she locked inside? Who did this to her?

I absolutely loved the story line of this book. The plot was fast paced and definitely something that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Darby depicts a strong character who takes it up to her to rescue the kidnapped girl and find out who the mysterious kidnapper is. It sounded mysterious and thrilling/creepy.

So when all this was great, I had certain issues with this read. First, Darby was so predictable. I wanted to believe in her decisions and the choices she make, but no, they were very dumb. Then the mystery of the kidnapper was relieved way too early for us to even play a guess game. Also, the kidnappers themselves seemed to be a bit cracked head. The second half had a lot of violence which was dragged a bit too long.

But, if you love to read a single sitting adventure filled mystery books then this book is definitely for you.
