Vanished | Danielle Steel | Book Review
Genre: Domestic Fiction
When love and desire takes an unpleasant path, there would be many lives affected.
Synopsis:
Vanished tells the story of a man and woman faced with an almost unthinkable tragedy—the mysterious abduction of their son. ... Though the couple's lives are filled with secrets, Marielle is a devoted wife and mother, and Malcolm is a man everyone admires.
My Review:
The story was promising at first when the kid goes missing and the FBI starts investigation. But then it lost its track and there were multiple scenes repeated like Marielle’s past. Also the story focused mainly on Marielle’s emotions, the neglecting faces on her and the breakdown she suffered.
While the plot had a lot of strength, it was mainly not used. The entire court drama was eccentric and the plot twist in the end was not to the point.
However the story did connect with me on emotional ground and showed how the loss of a kid could tear us from inside. Also it taught me on how attraction plays a major role in our life and how people take major life changing decisions based on that.
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️/5
