Layla by Colleen Hoover is one such pick that makes you question every fact that you have believed till date. Questions like do ghosts exists? Do our souls wander after death? Can a ghost fall in love?

It’s the story of a true bond between people that could cross all realms of nature. Layla and Leeds are two love birds who found their happiness in togetherness but an unfortunate event turned their lives upside down. They get shot by Leeds’s ex-girlfriend Sable and from then, the fun loving Layla turns sombre and depressing.

Their lives change when they move back to the place they first met and found out that there is a strange presence in the house. Leeds in the attempt to find the truth end up falling for a free spirit, Willow who just makes him fall in love with everything again. But is Leeds cheating Layla, or does Willow reminds him of his Layla before the accident. When truth unfolds, the twist in the story is exceptional and makes us fall in love with these characters.

I liked the way the book was written, it was fast paced and beautifully narrated but somewhere I felt that some details were not provided in the right place and the ending showed only one side of the story. Hence my rating is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5.

This is my second pick from the author after HeartBones. What is really love about Coho is her writing style which is really touching yet fast, the twist in plots and the connection that the characters create with us.
